What can I request from MarketBrug now?
MarketBrug accepts no-payment pre-orders for selected supplier-grown edible plants shown in the current plant shop. Self-watering garden systems and connected features remain prototype, planned or future offers.
Is MarketBrug a nursery?
MarketBrug is registered as a Texas Class 1 nursery reseller. It may sell or distribute nursery products but does not currently claim to grow the supplier-grown plants listed on this website. A future MarketBrug production nursery remains planned.
Does a listed plant mean it is in stock?
No. The shop reflects a dated supplier list, not MarketBrug-owned or reserved inventory. MarketBrug must reconfirm supplier stock, order constraints, price and delivery before requesting payment.
How does a plant pre-order work?
Add plants to your cart, provide a delivery ZIP and check out without payment. MarketBrug reviews current stock, the $35 plant minimum, applicable tax and delivery cost, then sends a Square invoice only if the pre-order can be fulfilled.
Are all listed plants organic?
No. The phrase supplier-certified organic appears only on items identified as organic in the current supplier list. Other plants carry no organic claim. MarketBrug does not represent supplier-grown plants as grown by MarketBrug.
When will the self-watering garden launch?
Prototype 1 is physically built and testing is underway in Austin. A public launch date has not been finalized. Reservoir duration, moisture behavior, crop compatibility, heat response, durability, appearance, production time and cost still require documented validation.
What is the initial service area?
The initial focus is Austin and Central Texas. Specific ZIP codes, delivery areas and installation coverage are still being validated.
How much will a garden system cost?
Final pricing has not been approved. Product and project pricing is in development and may change as components, installation needs and pilot results are validated.
Will MarketBrug deliver plants or garden systems?
For weekly plant requests, local delivery feasibility and cost are quoted by ZIP before payment. Garden-system delivery and installation remain subject to pilot capacity and the final configuration.
Will installation be available?
Self-setup, supported setup and site-specific installation are being evaluated for different systems. Institutional work will begin with an inquiry and site discussion.
Will a garden require internet or electricity?
Not every system will be connected. Requirements will depend on the selected timer, controller and sensors. Basic watering and care should remain possible when connectivity is unavailable.
Can I operate the garden manually?
Yes. Manual operation and clear overrides are core design requirements. AI will not directly control safety-critical watering decisions during the pilot.
Will sensors work with my existing irrigation equipment?
Compatibility has not been finalized. MarketBrug plans to use standard, replaceable irrigation fittings where practical and will document tested configurations rather than promise universal compatibility.
Will a subscription be required?
Subscription and ongoing support terms are still being developed. MarketBrug will identify what is included, optional or recurring before any customer commitment.
Can I use my existing pots or irrigation?
Possibly. Suitability depends on container size, drainage, crop choice, water pressure and component condition. The assessment will help identify what may be reusable.
Which plants will be available?
The curated list changes with the supplier sheet, Central Texas season and MarketBrug review. Older lists expire rather than remaining online indefinitely. Substitutions require the preference selected in the request and final customer approval.
What garden data may be collected?
A connected pilot may collect garden configuration, time-stamped readings, device status, alerts and grower actions. MarketBrug intends to minimize personal data; precise household location and photos would be optional if introduced.
How can a school or community organization participate?
Use the early-access assessment and select the relevant organization type. Project-based systems will be reviewed through an inquiry rather than instant checkout.
